Sunbeam Mixmaster Governor Capacitor # 10-2065X
(Used in Vintage Models 5 thru 12)

(New) Sunbeam Mixmaster Governor Capacitor 10-2065X

Here's a rare governor capacitor for the great old Sunbeam Mixmaster stand mixers, models 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12. (Penny not included, sorry!)

No longer available from Sunbeam, this is a brand new - NOT USED - capacitor. I fabricate these myself, from high quality new parts, and guarantee them to work great in the above vintage mixer models. Approx. 1-3/4" long, 1/2" diameter, the original part this capacitor replaces was rated .08uf at 160 volts AC, Sunbeam part #10-2065 (this one's my part #10-2065X), also old numbers C31AD, C47CN. Mine's rated at 600 volts AC, so it also works in 220 volt models.

Note: when the original capacitor shorts in one of these mixers, as commonly happens, it will run on high speed only, no matter where you set the dial. To verify a bad capacitor, pry it out temporarily (it's the bottom cylindrical component - the upper one's a resistor) and run the mixer briefly without it. If its speed varies normally, you immediately know the capacitor's the problem (don't run one too long without this part installed, though; it'll burn the governor contacts).

For more help with a "high speed only" vintage (model 5 thru 12) Mixmaster, see this article.

If you should have any questions or need any other Mixmaster parts, please feel free to ask me. I stock some 200 vintage Mixmaster motors for parts.

You can pickup service, parts, and owner's manuals for your vintage Mixmaster here. They're direct, high quality scans of the original, no longer available factory service manuals my Dad and I used for years!

These capacitors sell to US buyers* for $14.00 plus $9.00 Priority shipping, $23.00 total for one. I can normally Priority ship up to 20 of them to your US address* for the same shipping cost. If you'd like to order 10 or more at once, please contact me first.  I fabricate these in my own shop and always try to keep a good quantity on hand. But I'm a "one man show", so large numbers can sometimes take me a few days to fabricate. I've just started offering free shipping within the USA on 10 or more of these, so please ask about that before ordering, too.

(You don't need a Paypal account to securely pay using your credit card!)

*Note: International Shipping Rates have gone sky-high! Please email me for rates if you're outside the USA.
