Keypad
– Two membranes of conductive material separated by a non-conductive
layer, making a ‘sandwich’ of individual switches that are connected
to a microprocessor to ‘instruct’ and control it.
Knockout,
disposal
– If you’ve just replaced your garbage disposal, connected your
dishwasher drain hose to it, and the dishwasher won’t drain, this is
what you forgot. But don’t feel bad – every pro installer has
forgotten this at one time or another. Disposals are shipped with the
dishwasher drain hole plugged with a plastic piece that needs to be
punched out to connect the dishwasher drain hose.
